when life gets in the way...

So, the hiatus went on extended extension.

We really haven't been under a rock.

We've been out living life.

here is a bit of what we've been up to, just a few shots from the iPhone from the past couple of months.

We took a little trip out to Pawley's Island S.C. with some good friends!

Liam found some sea treasures

the boys thought the beach was "clothing optional!"

Great family memories!

I took Liam to work and he met Woody and Buzz

 We painted the house!

We went to the farmer's market!

We kept on painting the house!

We made gift baskets for our great teachers.

Liam jumped and jumped

and learned how to take photos w/ the iPhone

we baked

and sprinkled

Liam sang me a song for Mother's Day

and gave me a manicure

he had fun in the "little pool"

went clubbin'

found a new favorite dessert spot

I taught people about misunderstood vegetables

we got silly

liam slept with us a few times and this is generally how it turned out

Spent a lot of time with these sweet BFF's

Ace has been being Acey

Liam taught us how to "chive blossom boogie"

We cooked fresh vegetables from our CSA boxes

We ALMOST finished painting

We camped in the backyard

Mommy's little monster came out to play

We picked some tomatoes

...and some carrots

I snuck away to "the forrest project" with my girls

Grammalamma and poppy pop came to visit - and took liam to see the disney treasures

hiatus

been missing Liam's adventures?
us too.
well... we've still been having lots of adventures, mama has just been lame at documenting lately. (going on 4 months of radio silence now, and enough is just enough)
i don't want to forget these precious fleeting moments. so - back on the blogging train!

we'll can all stop crying now.

oy vey... we are just coming off of a PAAAARTY weekend!

three on Saturday and one on Sunday. there was going to be one MORE on Sunday, but due to rain... it was cancelled.

tree lighting at the promenade - a standing and a new tradition!

The Promenade tree lighting snuck up on us this year - I just heard about it pretty much the day it was happening. Luckily we all were in town and game to go!
We ran into the gorgeous Santiago family who we also saw there last year.
We even were able to hookup with a couple of Liam's besties - Andrew and Connor :)
We missed the Liljegren's this time around - but they were with us in spirit!

A NEW tradition... we went into "Cost Plus World Market" which is a store in the promenade that sells all kinds of great Christmas tree decorations. We told Liam he could pick out ANY one he wanted. He picked out what he is calling "My Sunday School"... how cool.

Ghostly Lemon Cake Pops

Halloween seems like a distant memory with Thanksgiving on the not so distant horizon (it's NEXT WEEK!)

When flipping through the October edition of my favorite magazine (Food and Wine) ... I saw these super cute ghostly lemon cake pops and had to try my hand at making them for Liam's Halloweeen school party. They were a hit :) and pretty easy to make (messy, but easy) and best of all - it calls for STORE BOUGHT pound cake! great short cut! (also, i melted chocolate chips for the eyes - it called for a special marker that i didn't have, the chocolate worked fine, and didn't mess with the flavor of the lemon.)

trick or treeeeeat!

We had the BEST trick or treating session ever!
Liam's pal Connor's awesome mama hosted about a dozen of the "besties" from Cornerstone and the parents in an evening of festivities and trick or treating.
